Happy Flag Day
What better time to ammend the US Constitution to ban buring the The Flag
Considering 99% of all US Flag burning is happening in countries OTHER than the US - don't know what good that's gonna do.

The US obsession with 'the flag' is one that I really can't understand at all... I'm confused enough by English people waving the George Cross around in support of the football team, but the whole 'God bless america' thing, flags outside houses, on cars etc. is utterly alien to a European brain...
Who gives a shit if it gets burnt? Surely it's only a protest because enough people have invested a daft amount of significance into it.
It's all baffling to me. :o)

'mericans are indoctrinated into Flag Love from childhood when they must stand every day at school and pledge "allegence" to the flag.
It's all very . . . uh . . . . Soviet ironically - cept no one gets tossed into gulags if they refrain - just suspended from school.
To most 'mericans - that's difference enough to ignore the underlying similarity with coerced "allegence"
The funny thing is that there isn't even a vast amount of flag burnings going on in the States. Every few years at a WTO riot you might catch it - but almost all the incidents of flag burning are happening in other countries.
Maybe Flag Day ought to be the day where 'mercians reflect on the policies it practices that motivate people to burn the US Flag in the first place.
Nah . . .not enough self love in that.
,-)
